Last week in church we were reminded that there is a spiritual battle going for the lives of men and women.

This Sunday, in Acts 14, we see this working out in practice as Paul and Barnabas see progress and experience harsh opposition.

We also see the dramatic difference between believing in a multiplicity of ‘gods’ and knowing the true God.

We invite you to join us at 9:30am on Sunday morning as we look at this passage together and also share in the Lord’s Supper.

In the 21st Century, it’s easy to assume that the task of telling others about Jesus is quite straightforward: All we have to do is to logically explain the truth, and people will believe it.

The Bible paints a rather different picture – there is a spiritual battle taking place in our world. The forces of the evil one will go all out to mislead men and women – to corrupt the truth – to keep them from hearing the genuine gospel.

In Acts 13 this week – on Sunday morning – we see a clear example of this taking place. And we’ll learn that the battle continues to this very day – and Christian people are involved in it.

We hope you can join with us at 9:30am on Sunday morning!

If you were one of Jesus’ disciples, the name “Herod” would not bring happy thoughts flooding into your head.

The Herod dynasty had brought only trouble to Jesus and his followers.

This Sunday, in Acts 12, we see what happens when one of the grandsons of Herod the Great – Herod Agrippa – stretches out his hand against those who belong to Jesus. Will he succeed? Will he wipe out this new movement?

Join us on Sunday at 9:30am to find out! All welcome.

Bishop Ivan LeeOn Sunday 5th August at 9:30am, you’re invited to join us for this year’s Confirmation Service.

There’ll just be one church gathering that day – at 9:30 – so that everyone can be there to support the young people who are publicly committing their lives to Jesus.

Our regional Bishop, Ivan Lee, (pictured) will be with us for the service.
