The Federal election is almost upon us. Interest rates are up. There’s the war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, there’s the Workplace legislation and there are the leadership aspirations of the Treasurer.

Given all that – if you were given the opportunity to speak with the Prime Minister – what would you want to say to him? For that matter, what would you say to any world leader?

In Acts 24, the Apostle Paul has an extended opportunity to speak with the Governor of Judaea – and his wife. What does he say? What’s the great message he wants to share? Is it important today?

Join us on Sunday morning as we learn about “Assassination, Injustice and Opportunity”. All welcome!

On Sunday November 4th, we’re having just one church gathering – at 9:30am. (There’s no 8:00am church this week.)

We hope you can join us at 9:30am – to hear our special guest Mark Landrum from Jews for Jesus, as he speaks about ‘Jesus in the Old Testament’.

The federal election isn’t the only important thing happening on Saturday 24th November.

– That’s also the day for our special Christmas Gingerbread House event at St. Matthew’s.

It's open to all ladies – the cost is only $20 and includes afternoon tea and your gingerbread house to take home. (They make great Christmas gifts.)

Daylight savings starts next Sunday – 28 October at 2:00 am – when we put our clocks forward by one hour.

That means we have one hour less sleep – so don’t be late for church!
