June 2007

You’re invited to join us on Sunday (June 24th) at 9:30am for Grandparents’ Day.

All grandparents (as well as grandchildren, friends and relatives) are very welcome!

There’ll be items from our Sunday School and Youth Group – and a yummy morning tea.

Do join us for this special occasion! (No 8:00am church this Sunday.)

This week at St. Matthew’s, we’re turning our thoughts to Acts 5:12-42 where we will see what happens when the authorities in Jerusalem are, yet again, annoyed by those pesky apostles publicly teaching about Jesus.

You’re invited to join us on Sunday morning at 9:30am – with morning tea afterwards.

Sometimes – maybe often – we think we can earn praise from others, while at the same time fooling God.

That’s what some members of the first Christian church thought – but they were in for a surprise!

A rainy weekend is a great time to join us at church as we think together about Acts chapter 5 – and hear the good news that we don’t have to pretend when we come to church. Instead, our gatherings can be a joyous time when we thank Jesus for saving us – no matter who we are.

That’s our topic this Sunday at 9:30am – “You can’t fool the Lord”.
